*NME Awards 2009* Carl Barât has recently started doing his solo gigs in England. He was touring around the US with the band Glasvegas who currently won the hearts of rock fans and media in January. I've met and seen him play live many times. But I've never asked and will never ask him about The Libertines misery or the wild rocker Pete Doherty. He is an amazing musician and I do love him as an artist! Apparently, the media are not waiting for him to do anything bad, but are always waiting for him to start something new instead.

His last project, Dirty Pretty Thing announced their split in October last year. It was too sudden, but they simply did not stop touring all over the UK and Europe until December last year. I saw them in Cambridge and Oxford in October, and then in Amsterdam again at the end of November. Their second album, Romance At Short Notice was simply superb! I know you don't believe me, but luckily, I was the FIRST LISTENER of the album, hehe.

You are very cool! Thats sweet you've had the chance to see them so much live. I saw DPT at the Henry Fonda Theater in LA the day after Carl broke his arm falling off a motorbike so he had it done up in a union jack sling made of a torn flag, absolutely brilliant. I was afraid they might cancel but they fucking tore the roof off they were wonderful.
